All About Rainbow Recovery House
Our Story
Your Community

The original idea for creating a sober living environment started with Terren in late 2018. He reached out to Krystal, who became the Secretary of the Rainbow Recovery House, Inc. Together they formed a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which was incorporated in March 2019. They asked Myles and Brian if they would be interested in joining the organization, and the current Board was formed.
The Board spent the better part of 2019 gauging interest, kicking around ideas, and figuring out how we could be of maximum service to the population we are trying to serve. It was our intention to start fundraising and moving forward in March of 2020, but the Coronavirus Pandemic forced us to take a step back from making this dream a reality.
We are currently focused on reaching out to supporters and potential community partners for guidance and financial support. We are also submitting grant proposals to various institutions. While all of the board members are working professionals, we wish to grow our knowledge and expertise with the help of the community to better serve the populations we wish to help. Our goal is to open Rainbow Recovery House as soon as we have the financial resources to do so.
We feel it’s important for prospective donors to know that none of the Board Members are going to take a salary until the operation is fully self-sustaining.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, please consider supporting us if you’re able.
Sincerely,
The Rainbow Recovery House Team

Rules and Expectations
Residents must agree to participate in a 12-step program, attend a minimum of four 12-step meetings a week and obtain a sponsor. Attendance at house meetings is mandatory. They must agree not to drink or use drugs and conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to recovery. Violation of these conditions can result in consequences and/or termination.
Residents are encouraged to be employed or in school. After a resident's initial week in residence, they are eligible for an “away pass” for up to 2 nights per 7 days to spend quality sober time with their families and friends.
Random Testing
We test for drugs and alcohol at random and we have a written policy dealing with resident's use of alcohol or other drugs. A person never knows when they will be selected to submit a urine sample for urine analysis. If a person is toxic, their contract is terminated immediately.
We are willing to do an intervention on someone who is honest about his or her drug or alcohol use. They must be in agreement to go through a process that involves presenting a detailed relapse prevention plan to the House Manager and their peers. If they are willing to accept the consequences they are likely able to remain a resident of Rainbow Recovery House.
